Havasu Falls Image A Grand Adventure -- Grand Canyon
Havasupai Reservaton &
Supai Lodge Hiking Adventure

March 28 - April 2, 2009
May 9 - 13, 2009

Trip Highlights (This trip is limited to 10 guests)

Close your eyes and envision the magic of running water. It's made even more magical just be existing in the desert. Put the water in a canyon. Make that the Grandest of Canyons. Color the water turquoise blue, reflecting the cloudless sky. Now pour it over cliffs almost 200' high, at the rate of more than a million gallons per hour.

Do these words adequately convey the pull exerted by Havasu Creek? No words can.

Supai LodgeAt one spot you'll hear an almost inaudible trickle over a travertine ledge. Five minutes down the trail the creek will roar over a waterfall more deafening than a low-flying F-4 Phantom (which, by the way, our lead guide flies at air shows).

A totally green, riparian environment, surprising, even initially shocking, surrounded by thousands of square miles of Paleozoic rocks. A brilliant emerald in a vast setting of browns and reds.

The custodians of this precious resource are the Havasu Baaja "People of the Blue-Green Waters," the only permanent residents below the rim of the Grand Canyon. They will share their home with us. It’s the only place in the United States where the mail (and pretty much everything else) is delivered by horseback.

As no one else can, allow The Walking Connection to share with you this one-of-a-kind truly magical adventure.
